RAINFOREST MEETS THE PACIFIC

A bridge between sea and land.

Located in Quepos, Puntarenas, Manuel Antonio National Park combines very humid tropical forest, mangroves, marine environments, islands, a lagoon and celebrated Pacific beaches. Trails provide opportunities to observe wildlife while moving between forest viewpoints and the coast.

The park is part of Costa Rica’s protected-area system administered by SINAC (Sistema Nacional de Áreas de Conservación). Official tourism information from the ICT — Costa Rica Tourism Board highlights beaches including Espadilla Sur, Manuel Antonio and Puerto Escondido, together with wildlife such as capuchin monkeys, sloths, coatis, iguanas and numerous bird species.

Manuel Antonio was established in 1972 following local community efforts to preserve public access to the area’s beaches. Today, conservation and responsible visitation remain central to the experience.
