More than a wildlife sanctuary

Formerly known as Zoo Ave, Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center is a Costa Rican nonprofit dedicated to wildlife conservation, rehabilitation, habitat protection and lifelong care for animals that cannot return to the wild.

What you can see

The sanctuary reports more than 700 wild animals. A visit provides a close look at Costa Rica’s biodiversity while explaining the rescue and rehabilitation process.

A visit with purpose

Admission helps support the center’s conservation work. Rescate also participates in wildlife rescue efforts with Costa Rican institutions, including SINAC, when specific cases require coordinated action. Guided tours and general admission are available.
