La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park in Vara Blanca combines five waterfalls with 3.5 km of cloud- and rainforest trails and a large wildlife refuge. The park recommends at least two hours for a quick visit, while a full day gives you time to enjoy the trails and exhibits at a relaxed pace.

Follow paved trails and stairways through the La Paz River canyon to Templo, Encantada, Magia Blanca, Escondida and La Paz waterfalls.

Wildlife Sanctuary

See sloths, monkeys, jungle cats, hummingbirds, butterflies, snakes, frogs and many other Costa Rican species in educational habitats.

Rainforest & Culture
